Schedule:

  • Three 12‑hour shifts each week
  • Rotating weekends

Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled EMT to ensure safe, professional transport for hospice patients. This position plays a vital role in helping patients move comfortably between homes, hospice centers, hospitals, and long‑term care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from hospice homes, residences, hospitals, SNFs, and ALFs
  • Assist with lifting and transfers using proper safety techniques
  • Provide basic medical monitoring during transport within EMT scope
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and hospice staff to coordinate care
  • Maintain vehicle readiness, equipment checks, and cleanliness
  • Follow hospice and EMS regulations to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

  • Current North Carolina EMT certification
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Clean driver’s license and driving record
  • Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate approach
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
  • Prior EMS or patient transport experience preferred
