Job Description

TRIA Orthopedic Urgent Care is expanding and seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our orthopedic urgent care team. Position Overview

This role supports providers in a high-energy orthopedic urgent care setting that treats patients of all ages, from pediatrics to seniors, with both acute injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The clinic operates seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is closed on major holidays. Team members work 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule.

Using a well-rounded skill set in clinical support, patient care, and administrative tasks, you will assist providers in alignment with organizational policies and care standards. While at least one year of orthopedic experience is preferred, we are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate strong potential.

Schedule

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours per week
Four shifts weekly (combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts)
Every third weekend rotation required


Qualifications

We welcome applicants from the following backgrounds:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

  • Active state LPN license

  • Prior nursing experience preferred, ideally in a related specialty

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); online-only certifications not accepted

Medical Assistant (MA)

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES)

  • Relevant clinical experience preferred

  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC); online-only certifications not accepted

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program

  • Current Minnesota EMT license

  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC); online-only certifications not accepted

Athletic Trainer (ATC)

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Board of Certification (BOC) credential

  • Active Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license

  • NATA membership in good standing

  • Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI)


Preferred Experience

At least one year of experience in a related healthcare or orthopedic environment.
