We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant in our Huntersville office. Shifts typically run Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.


Role Summary

The Clinical Assistant supports orthopedic patient care by assisting providers with procedures, performing routine office tasks, educating patients, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role combines clinical responsibilities with administrative support to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Document patient visits, histories, vitals, medications, and allergies in EPIC.

  • Conduct phone triage and communicate patient needs accurately to providers.

  • Assist with casting, splinting, DME application, sutures/staples, and injections.

  • Perform routine office procedures and sterilize equipment/rooms after use.

  • Provide patient education on procedures, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.

  • Support administrative tasks: ordering supplies, stocking rooms, processing prescription refills, and monitoring EHR work queues.

  • Travel to other OC locations as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Medical Assisting, Athletic Training, or Nursing; or equivalent experience with certification.

Certifications:

  • CMA/RMA: Certified through AAMA, NHA, AMT, ARMA, or AMCA.

  • EMT: National or state certification.

  • ATC: Board-certified Athletic Trainer.

  • CPR certification required.

Experience:

  • New graduates welcome; previous clinical experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in EPIC or similar EMR systems.

  • Effective communication with patients, families, and care team.

  • Ability to triage phone calls and provide clear, concise instructions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
