Paramedic β Emergency Medical Services (Full-Time)

Emplify Health by Gundersen Tri-County is seeking a full-time Paramedic (0.9 FTE) to support emergency medical services in both the emergency department and ambulance operations. This position provides immediate care for patients experiencing urgent and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in emergency and transport settings.
- Assist with patient assessments, triage, monitoring, treatments, and emergency procedures.
- Support ambulance operations and coordinate safe patient transportation when needed.
- Work closely with hospital and EMS teams to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical interventions.
- Follow established EMS protocols, safety standards, and clinical guidelines.
Schedule
- 12-hour overnight shifts
- Every third weekend rotation
- Every third holiday rotation

Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved paramedic education program recognized by the State of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 6 months of direct patient care experience.
- Current Paramedic certification:
- Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P)
- National Registry Paramedic (NREMT-P)
- or Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross with hands-on training.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Emergency vehicle operator certification (CEVO or EVOC) required within one year of hire.
