Overview
Onsite Health Technician – EMT / Paramedic
Medcor is seeking a qualified EMT or Paramedic to work on a PRN, as-needed basis as an Onsite Health Technician at a construction site clinic in Andrews, Texas.
This role is ideal for EMS professionals who want to apply their clinical skills outside of traditional emergency services. You’ll provide workplace injury and illness care, support employee health programs, manage workers’ compensation cases, and collaborate with medical providers and site leadership.
Position Details
- Location: Andrews, Texas
- Employment: PRN / As Needed
- Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hours may vary based on client needs.
- No guaranteed hours; occasional shift availability is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the onsite medical clinic.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor Care Protocols.
- Provide professional customer service to employees and clients.
- Assist with workers’ compensation case management and Return-to-Work programs.
- Monitor treatment plans and coordinate with outside medical providers.
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
- Perform physical assessment testing.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Complete medical charting and OSHA-required recordkeeping.
- Support employee health and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with Medcor leadership, client personnel, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Current and valid EMT or Paramedic license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Ability to lift a 50-pound emergency response bag.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, professional, and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a construction environment, including climbing stairs and working at heights when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Previous experience working in construction or occupational health.
