Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our multi-disciplinary care team. This role provides direct patient care, supports clinic operations, and performs laboratory and administrative duties to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.

Note: Start date is contingent upon completion of internal credentialing and privileging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe patient care in routine and emergency situations, including vital signs and patient assessments.

  • Assist providers and nurses with exams, procedures, and clinical support.

  • Collect and process specimens, perform point-of-care testing, venipuncture, EKGs, pulse oximetry, and other screenings.

  • Administer vaccines and update immunization records in CIIS.

  • Conduct outreach for missed appointments and follow-up care.

  • Schedule appointments, X-rays, and special studies; answer patient calls and triage inquiries within scope.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

  • Access external health databases to support care coordination.

  • Support clinic workflows, including preparation of procedure trays, lab management, and other operational tasks.

  • Work evenings or weekends as needed and perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA program preferred.

  • CPR / BLS certification required.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely, independently, and collaboratively.
