Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our multi-disciplinary care team. This role provides direct patient care, supports clinic operations, and performs laboratory and administrative duties to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
Note: Start date is contingent upon completion of internal credentialing and privileging.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe patient care in routine and emergency situations, including vital signs and patient assessments.

Assist providers and nurses with exams, procedures, and clinical support.

Collect and process specimens, perform point-of-care testing, venipuncture, EKGs, pulse oximetry, and other screenings.

Administer vaccines and update immunization records in CIIS.

Conduct outreach for missed appointments and follow-up care.

Schedule appointments, X-rays, and special studies; answer patient calls and triage inquiries within scope.

Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Access external health databases to support care coordination.

Support clinic workflows, including preparation of procedure trays, lab management, and other operational tasks.

Work evenings or weekends as needed and perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA program preferred.

CPR / BLS certification required.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Ability to perform essential job functions safely, independently, and collaboratively.
