We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a healthcare facility in Southeast Minnesota. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with both daytime and overnight shifts available, beginning in November or December.

Schedule & Availability

  • Approximately 7–10 shifts per month
  • Day and night shift options
  • No on-call responsibilities

Role Responsibilities

The selected physician will deliver emergency care in a busy department, handling a wide range of cases. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, providing treatment, and managing care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

  • Provide emergency medical care for a diverse patient population, including pediatric cases
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute conditions
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers and clinical staff
  • Ensure accurate documentation and appropriate prescribing as required

Facility Details

  • Annual patient volume of approximately 50,000 across two locations
  • Support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with scheduling to be determined
  • On-site clinical environment

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain prescriptive authority
