Job Description

Medix is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy outpatient clinic in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, providing flexibility while working in a collaborative healthcare environment focused on exceptional patient care.

Position Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and escort them to examination rooms.
  • Record vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and other required clinical information.
  • Complete patient rooming procedures, including medication reconciliation, allergy verification, and immunization review.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a licensed provider or registered nurse.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Perform common clinical tasks such as ear irrigation, electrocardiograms (EKGs), bladder scans, and other approved treatments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while following clinic protocols and documentation standards.
  • Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations, safety guidelines, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • One of the following credentials:
    • Accredited Medical Assistant (MA) diploma
    • Minnesota EMT-B certification
    • Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
