Position: Non‑Emergency Patient Transport EMT Location: Dobson
Schedule:
- Three 12‑hour shifts each week
- Rotating weekends

Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled EMT to ensure safe, professional transport for hospice patients. This position plays a vital role in helping patients move comfortably between homes, hospice centers, hospitals, and long‑term care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from hospice homes, residences, hospitals, SNFs, and ALFs
- Assist with lifting and transfers using proper safety techniques
- Provide basic medical monitoring during transport within EMT scope
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and hospice staff to coordinate care
- Maintain vehicle readiness, equipment checks, and cleanliness
- Follow hospice and EMS regulations to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
- Current North Carolina EMT certification
- Valid CPR certification
- Clean driver’s license and driving record
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate approach
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
- Prior EMS or patient transport experience preferred
