Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. In this role, you will respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, provide appropriate treatment, and ensure safe transport to medical facilities. You will document patient care, coordinate with dispatch and healthcare providers, and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times. The ideal candidate remains composed in high-pressure situations, demonstrates excellent bedside manner, and has strong critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls promptly while maintaining composure under stress

  • Evaluate patients to determine the severity of illness or injury and prioritize treatment

  • Administer first aid and other necessary medical interventions

  • Collect and relay vital patient information to hospitals or receiving facilities

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, dispatchers, and fellow EMTs regarding patient care

  • Ensure all medical equipment and supplies on the ambulance are properly stocked and maintained

  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with best practices

Qualifications

  • Current EMT license or certification in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in emergency situations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
