Job Description
HealthTeam Critical Care Transport (HCCT) is a nonprofit, hospital-supported transport service formed through a partnership between Cabell Huntington Hospital, Charleston Area Medical Center, and WVU Medicine. Our mission is to provide dependable, high-quality patient transportation across West Virginia.
With seven ground base locations statewide, HCCT safely transports nearly 25,000 patients each year.

Position Summary
The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for delivering pre-hospital emergency medical care and patient transport services while complying with all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures.
Work Environment & Conditions
This role involves providing care during ground transport operations, often under physically demanding and high-stress conditions. EMTs may be exposed to blood or bodily fluids, loud environments, moving equipment, and other potential hazards. Comprehensive training and safety resources are provided, and team members are expected to properly utilize all assigned protective equipment.
Education Requirements
Required:

Completion of an approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program
Preferred:
-
At least one year of experience working as an EMT

Required Licenses & Certifications

Active, unrestricted West Virginia EMT certification

Valid driver’s license

Completion of NIMS training (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
