Job Description

Critical Care Technician – Summit County

As a Critical Care Technician, you will provide both direct and supportive patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with the care team to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients, assist with department logistics, and support daily operations. Tasks include placing and receiving orders, stocking supplies, managing medical records, and assisting support staff with various unit responsibilities.


Compensation & Housing

  • Eligible full-time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Lake, or Chaffee Counties may receive a $400/month housing stipend.

  • To qualify, employees must work at least 80% on-site at a CommonSpirit facility in Summit County and hold full-time or part-time status (PRN not eligible).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred (pre-hospital, emergency department, or direct patient care).

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Current Colorado EMT-B, A-EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic license.

  • IV certification must be obtained upon hire.


Physical Requirements

  • Medium work: able to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, or 10 lbs constantly.


This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a dedication to providing high-quality patient care while supporting department operations.
