EMT Job Sydney — Position Overview
EMT Job Sydney: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls under direction from the Control Centre. EMTs communicate situation reports and patient information before, during and after interventions, and seek input from colleagues including Paramedics and Intensive Care Paramedics.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non‑emergency incidents as directed by the Control Centre.
- Provide clear, accurate situation reports and ongoing updates to the Control Centre and receiving hospital staff.
- Assess, treat and monitor patients while considering medical, social, cultural, religious and emotional factors.
- Communicate empathetically with patients, carers and relatives to obtain medical history and explain care.
- Liaise with other emergency and community services, primary care practitioners and health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient assessments, treatment and handovers thoroughly and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with EMTs, Paramedics and Intensive Care Paramedics to deliver best‑possible patient outcomes.
