Location: Lake County Campus — Clear Lake, CA
Position: Part‑Time Adjunct EMT Instructor (Lake County Campus, Woodland Community College)

Overview
Woodland Community College — Lake County Campus is building an ongoing pool of qualified part‑time EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) instructors to teach lecture and lab courses. Adjunct hires are made year‑round to meet student and program needs; the pool is refreshed every two years.

Key Responsibilities
– Develop and deliver engaging EMT lectures and laboratory sessions (up to 10 hours/week)
– Use effective teaching methods to support diverse learners and assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester
– Provide timely feedback, maintain grades, and respond promptly to student communications
– Participate in department and college activities, committees, and program development as desired

Minimum Qualifications
One of the following:
– Bachelor’s degree or higher plus 2 years’ EMT experience and any required EMT certifications/licenses; OR
– Associate’s degree plus 6 years’ EMT experience and any required EMT certifications/licenses; OR
– Equivalent qualifications (must apply via YCCD Equivalency Application Process)

Preferred Qualifications
– Teaching experience in higher education or adult learning
– Current EMT certification and field experience
– Familiarity with online/remote instruction tools

Compensation & Workload
– Lecture Rate:  (Step 1–7 based on degree and teaching experience)
– Part‑time positions under 0.60 FTE do not include District‑paid fringe benefits
