Work Health Solutions is hiring an Advanced EMT (AEMT) to provide rapid Advanced Life Support (ALS), medical evaluation, stabilization, and scene management for critically ill and injured patients. The AEMT will lead pre-hospital care, direct first responders, perform technical rescues, and ensure high-quality patient documentation and communication with receiving hospitals.

Primary Duties
– Provide and direct ALS: peripheral and intra‑osseous access, supra‑glottic airways, endotracheal intubation, fluid/drug therapy, AED use/defibrillation.
– Perform rapid patient assessment, critical physical exams, differential diagnosis, and timely emergency interventions.
– Manage scene care and direct first responders, EMTs, police, and other agencies.
– Communicate with on‑duty physicians; follow standing orders and written protocols when physician contact is unavailable.
– Operate emergency vehicles safely; transport patients to appropriate medical facilities.
– Perform technical rescues and patient extrication across varied terrain and settings.
– Complete standardized patient care reports for clinical handoff and billing purposes.
– Maintain, clean, and perform minor maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and living quarters.
– Participate in continuing education and training; instruct and mentor lesser‑trained personnel.
– Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and uniform/equipment protocols.

Minimum Qualifications
– Current AEMT (EMT‑Intermediate) licensure in applicable state.
– CPR for the Healthcare Provider certification.
– Strong knowledge of local geography, rescue and emergency medical equipment, and ALS protocols.
– Ability to perform technical medical procedures accurately under pressure.
– Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to drive emergency vehicles and perform physically demanding rescues; lift/carry patients over varied terrain.
– Commitment to continuing education to maintain certifications per state requirements.
– Willingness to carry company pager/radio and respond to assignments as required.

Preferred
– Experience in advanced pre‑hospital care, technical rescue, or emergency department/EMS systems.
– Training or experience instructing EMTs or first responders.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
– Safety‑sensitive, fast‑paced emergency response role with potential exposure to hazardous and contagious conditions.
– Frequent physical activity: standing, lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and traversing uneven terrain.
– Shift work with variable hours; must be available for assigned shifts and on‑call notifications.

Other
– Company may waive minimum qualifications at discretion for exceptional candidates.
– Uniform and issued equipment must be maintained by employee.
