As an EMT, you play a vital role in patient care during ambulance transport. This position involves providing hands-on medical assistance, ensuring safe transportation, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily station operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver basic life support care within the EMT scope of practice.

• Operate emergency vehicles safely while following all applicable regulations.

• Provide effective patient care in a variety of environments and situations.

• Apply EMS knowledge and protocols in real-world scenarios.

• Communicate professionally with medical staff and team members.

• Accurately complete patient care reports using the designated documentation system.

• Support fellow EMS personnel and provide clear patient handoff reports.

• Inspect, clean, and restock medical equipment and supplies regularly.

• Follow company policies, procedures, and local EMS guidelines.

• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold ethical standards at all times.

• Keep consistent and clear communication with dispatch.

• Provide first aid to coworkers if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid EMT certification

• Current CPR certification

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate ambulances and medical equipment safely

• Capable of lifting up to 125 lbs and pushing/pulling more than 50 lbs

• Ability to bend, kneel, sit, and move efficiently in demanding environments

• Endurance for long periods of driving or riding in emergency vehicles

• Ability to perform under physically and emotionally challenging conditions
