Position Overview:
Silver Dollar City Attractions® is seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic to provide prompt medical care to guests and staff in alignment with our EMS protocols under the guidance of the Medical Director. This role supports both the Emergency Medical Services and Occupational Health Programs.

Employment Type: Per Requested Need
Duration: May 4, 2026 – January 2, 2027

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage illnesses and injuries, applying appropriate care protocols.
  • Determine when to involve external medical resources, such as ambulances or physicians.
  • Stay current with departmental and industry protocols, equipment, and procedures.
  • Document patient interactions and prepare reports accurately.
  • Replenish and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Clean and perform minor maintenance on first aid vehicles, offices, and medical resources.
  • Welcome and assist guests and staff entering the First Aid area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Missouri EMT or Paramedic license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, with ability to obtain Missouri Class E license within six weeks of hire.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Communication: Clear, professional interactions in person, via radio, and in writing. Accurate medical documentation and responsive to feedback.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations relevant to patient care, including drug dosages.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to prioritize, adapt to changing situations, make sound decisions under pressure, and follow complex instructions.
  • Technology: Proficient with Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and record-keeping systems.
  • Professionalism: Friendly, respectful, and patient-focused demeanor. Upholds company values and maintains confidentiality. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings; punctual and well-groomed.

Work Environment:
Exposure to extreme temperatures, wet and dry conditions, heights, mechanical equipment, chemicals, dust, vibration, and moderate noise. Use of PPE required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 108 lbs independently and up to 215 lbs with assistance.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Must have normal vision (including color), hearing, and tactile senses.
  • Ability to work in and around water and adapt to varying lighting conditions.
