Diagnostic Imaging Paramedic
Position Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Paramedic delivers direct patient care and clinical support to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient diagnostic imaging services. This role prepares patients for procedures, confirms clinical information, establishes IV access for testing, assists providers during exams, performs basic clinical duties, and documents care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Key Responsibilities

Escort and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring proper positioning and comfort.

Verify patient details, update charts, collect medical history, take vital signs, and confirm the purpose of the visit.

Assist healthcare providers during imaging procedures, including ECG monitoring, IV insertion, and minor in-office wound care.

Educate patients on medication, diet, and procedure-related questions.

Record patient care, examination results, and procedure data in EMRs accurately.

Maintain a safe, compliant work environment, following HIPAA, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Adhere to professional guidelines, supporting provider practices and patient care excellence.

Participate in ongoing education, professional development, and cross-department collaboration to improve patient experiences.
Minimum Qualifications

Clinical healthcare experience required.

EMT or Paramedic certification.

Experience with phlebotomy and IV insertion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).

Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to multiple offices, including rural locations.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cardiology, vascular care, or pre-hospital emergency settings.

Familiarity with EMRs and workforce management systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now).

ACLS/BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in clinical and office settings. Clinical tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or infectious materials, requiring protective equipment.
Physical Requirements

Travel up to 1–2 hours per day in company vehicles or planes.
