Position: Paramedic or Nurse – Mobile Dental Anesthesia

Employment Type: Per Diem (with pathway to Part-Time and Full-Time)

Hudson Dental Anesthesia Partners is looking for an experienced paramedic or nurse to join our growing mobile anesthesia team. Our practice delivers hospital-grade anesthesia services directly to dental offices across New York City and surrounding counties. We provide safe general anesthesia for both pediatric patients (ages 3 and older) and adults who require advanced sedation for dental procedures.

This position is currently offered on a per diem basis, with strong potential to transition into part-time and eventually full-time based on availability and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel with the anesthesia team to dental practices throughout the NYC metro area

  • Support anesthesiologists during general anesthesia for pediatric and adult dental procedures

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while maintaining accurate clinical documentation

  • Assist with preparation, transport, setup, and breakdown of anesthesia and emergency equipment

  • Load and unload equipment daily; anesthesiologists manage their own equipment, but assistants help ensure safe handling and mobility

Schedule & Travel Expectations

  • Typical start times range from 6:30–7:30 AM, with occasional earlier starts between 5:30–6:00 AM

  • End times may vary depending on case volume and procedure length; schedule flexibility is important

  • Frequent travel required throughout NYC and neighboring counties

  • Service areas include the five boroughs plus Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Nassau, and Suffolk counties

  • Travel compensation provided for up to one hour of commute time

Required Qualifications

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

  • Strong airway management skills

  • Experience responding to medical emergencies and code situations

  • Comfortable caring for pediatric patients (ages 3+)

  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds (anesthesia and emergency equipment)

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily
