Overview
Job Summary
Provides emergency medical care and safely transports ill or injured individuals to appropriate healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to directions from emergency medical dispatch and operate emergency vehicles to assigned locations

Maintain continuous communication with dispatch throughout responses

Evaluate patient condition to determine the severity of illness or injury and identify required care or additional resources

Deliver approved basic life support care at the scene or during transport

Coordinate with medical staff at receiving facilities to relay patient information and receive further treatment guidance

Assist with patient extrication, movement, and safe transfer to healthcare facilities

Support hospital staff by collecting and documenting patient information related to the incident

Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and upkeep of ambulances, medical supplies, and communication equipment

Complete patient care reports and other required documentation accurately and on time

Assist healthcare professionals with patient care upon arrival at medical facilities

Qualifications
Education & Certification:

National Registry EMT-B or State EMT-B
-
EMT-A (where applicable)

Current CPR certification
Experience:

Valid and current certifications and licensure required for the role
