Key Responsibilities
-
Provide safe and high-quality care in pre-hospital and inter-facility transport settings
-
Perform Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) interventions according to scope of practice
-
Assess, treat, and transport patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries
-
Demonstrate professionalism and compassionate care, representing LifeStar Response at all times
-
Maintain accurate patient care documentation and communicate effectively with team members and medical facilities
Requirements
-
Maryland Paramedic (EMT-P) license, or eligibility for reciprocity upon hire (DC and DE certifications a plus)
-
Current ALS certification
-
Valid certification cards for relevant skill levels (BTLS, PALS, NALS, etc.)

Valid driver’s license preferred
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent
-
Successful completion of background check and child abuse clearance
-
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional communication skills
-
Basic computer skills for scheduling, charting, and communication

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:

Lifting/moving patients (125 lbs unassisted / 250+ lbs assisted)

Transporting patients using stretchers and stair chairs
-
Carrying patients up and down stairs
-
Extended periods of sitting, standing, and frequent movement
