Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and high-quality care in pre-hospital and inter-facility transport settings

  • Perform Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) interventions according to scope of practice

  • Assess, treat, and transport patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries

  • Demonstrate professionalism and compassionate care, representing LifeStar Response at all times

  • Maintain accurate patient care documentation and communicate effectively with team members and medical facilities

Requirements

  • Maryland Paramedic (EMT-P) license, or eligibility for reciprocity upon hire (DC and DE certifications a plus)

  • Current ALS certification

  • Valid certification cards for relevant skill levels (BTLS, PALS, NALS, etc.)

  • Valid driver’s license preferred

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Successful completion of background check and child abuse clearance

  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional communication skills

  • Basic computer skills for scheduling, charting, and communication

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:

    • Lifting/moving patients (125 lbs unassisted / 250+ lbs assisted)

    • Transporting patients using stretchers and stair chairs

    • Carrying patients up and down stairs

    • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and frequent movement
