About the Role

Doddridge County EMS is seeking a licensed EMT-B to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide emergency medical care, assess patient conditions, and safely transport individuals to appropriate medical facilities. You will also assist with extricating patients in emergency situations when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the nature and severity of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate first aid or medical interventions

  • Provide emergency medical care on-site and during patient transport

  • Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities

  • Operate and monitor communication equipment to stay in contact with dispatchers

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers at receiving facilities to ensure seamless patient care

  • Maintain calm and effective performance in high-pressure or stressful situations


Qualifications

  • Current WV EMT-B license

  • Experience as an EMT, paramedic, or in a related emergency medical field preferred

  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic life support procedures

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
