Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B)

Join our EMS team and provide compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care to patients in your community. We are seeking a dedicated EMT-B who is committed to patient safety, teamwork, and professional service while responding to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.

Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) care within the EMT-B scope of practice.
  • Respond to emergency and scheduled ambulance transport requests.
  • Assess patient conditions, provide appropriate treatment, and assist with safe patient transport.
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely while following department policies and traffic regulations.
  • Complete accurate patient care documentation and maintain confidentiality.
  • Inspect, clean, and restock ambulances and medical equipment to ensure response readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with paramedics, healthcare providers, dispatchers, and emergency personnel.
  • Maintain professionalism and provide compassionate care in all patient interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Missouri EMT-B license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule consisting of seven 12-hour shifts every two weeks (8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.).
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Previous ambulance transport experience of one year or more is preferred but not required.
