Paramedic – Emergency Medical Services (Full-Time)

Position Overview

LifeLine EMS is seeking experienced and dedicated Paramedics to join our growing emergency medical services team. Due to increasing demand and expanding call volume, we are hiring multiple Paramedics who are passionate about providing critical care and making a difference in the lives of patients.

Paramedics in this role respond to emergency medical calls, deliver advanced life support, and safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while continuing care throughout the transport process. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and the confidence to perform lifesaving interventions in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care according to Region XI CNEMS protocols and medical guidelines.
• Respond to emergency and, when needed, non-emergency medical calls while delivering care within the paramedic scope of practice.
• Perform patient assessments, identify medical needs, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer medications and advanced life support procedures as authorized by Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions throughout ambulance transport.
• Complete accurate patient care documentation and required reports.
• Work collaboratively with EMTs, healthcare providers, and emergency response partners.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to EMTs enrolled in paramedic training programs when qualified.
• Maintain professional standards, patient safety, and compassionate care during all interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Department of Public Health Paramedic license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Successful completion of the Region XI CNEMS Paramedic System Entry process.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
• Availability to attend a multi-day orientation program.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull 150+ pounds.

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).
