Position: Medical Assistant / EMT
Location: Palmetto ENT & Allergy – Aiken (part of Charleston ENT & Allergy)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Palmetto ENT & Allergy in Aiken, affiliated with Charleston ENT & Allergy, is seeking a dedicated full-time Medical Assistant/EMT to join our team. This vital position ensures smooth clinic operations and supports providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Our Medical Assistants/EMTs play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our services, helping every patient receive the attention they deserve.
We are looking for a team player who is passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and willing to assist wherever needed. Whether it’s covering multiple locations, participating in additional training, or helping colleagues, you’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to excellence.
Compensation
We provide competitive pay, starting at $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience, with room for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, handle check-in and check-out procedures
- Open and close the clinic efficiently
- Assist physicians with patient care, procedures, and triage
- Schedule diagnostic tests and follow-up appointments
- Call in prescriptions as needed
- Administer allergy injections and record vital signs
- Conduct tympanometry exams to assess ear pressure
- Coordinate hospital consultations for physicians
- Perform both front-office and back-office tasks as needed
- Scan and maintain patient records accurately
- Contact insurance providers to pre-authorize procedures and testing
- Deliver excellent patient service and address inquiries
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support clinic operations
