Overview

About the Program

Mohawk currently offers Academy-style EMT-B courses lasting approximately 7โ€“8 weeks, meeting Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. New classes begin every two months and are held year-round.

This posting is for continuous recruitment, and applicants will indicate which upcoming class dates they are interested in via a questionnaire during the application process.

Enrollment Options

  • Students receive a weekly stipend of $562.50.

  • The course, textbook, CPR card, and all other required materials are provided at no cost.

  • Participants must commit to working full-time for Mohawk Ambulance for one year after graduation, NYS certification, and completion of new-hire field orientation.

  • Current full-time, driver-qualified EMT pay starts at $21.25 per hour (applicable only after NYS certification).

Application Process

  • After applying, Mohawkโ€™s Recruiting Team will contact selected candidates for interviews.

  • The process includes an academic skills assessment due to the accelerated pace of the EMT program.

  • Applicants are asked to be patient, as each class typically attracts 200+ applicants, with 5โ€“6 EMT courses offered annually.
