Based in Chicago, Skills for Chicago is a nonprofit dedicated to removing barriers to employment by addressing biases that may unnecessarily prevent candidates from being considered. Position Overview

  • Deliver patient care following EMT training and approved protocols.
  • Safely transport patients while accurately navigating assigned routes.
  • Evaluate and communicate patient conditions to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient history, condition, and treatment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Current or pending EMT National Registry and/or state certification.
  • Ability to provide medical care and safely transport patients at the EMT or Paramedic level.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; capable of operating vehicles in all weather and lighting conditions.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment interview, physical assessment, lifting test, and drug screening.
  • Completion of all company-mandated training programs, including a driving course.
