Job Summary Acute Rescue is looking for EMT‑Basics who are passionate about helping others and committed to excellent patient care. In this role, you’ll combine strong communication skills with medical expertise to deliver emergency services, ensuring every patient receives compassionate and accurate treatment. Our EMTs evaluate, stabilize, and transport individuals in need, making a direct impact on the community each day.

Role Highlights

  • Provide basic life support under paramedic supervision
  • Deliver efficient medical care to injured or ill patients
  • Operate emergency vehicles and safely transport patients
  • Communicate with dispatch, hospitals, and public safety teams
  • Maintain patient care reports, vehicle logs, and supply records
  • Clean, disinfect, and restock equipment and vehicles

Additional Duties

  • Assist with technical rescues
  • Perform other assigned emergency response tasks

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Current EMT or AEMT license, or active NREMT EMT status with ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 30 days
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Ability to meet ART training requirements
  • Knowledge of local geography and emergency equipment
  • Strong technical medical skills and patient care abilities
  • Capable of working 12‑ and 24‑hour shifts
  • Physical ability to lift up to 125 lbs (250 lbs with assistance) and operate in varied terrain

Work Environment

  • Emergency response in diverse settings (vehicular, industrial, residential incidents)
  • Exposure to extreme weather and challenging terrain
  • Regular patient transport and equipment handling
  • Shifts include 12‑ and 24‑hour rotations, averaging 36+ hours per week
