Position Overview
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for delivering immediate medical assistance and basic life support to Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC) employees and guests, ensuring their safety and well-being in accordance with PRC standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care, including patient evaluation, determining appropriate interventions, and facilitating ambulance transport when required.

• Administer first aid, assess patient conditions, and provide follow-up guidance as necessary.

• Document and report all actions taken during medical incidents accurately and promptly.

• Manage work-related injury claims by issuing referrals for employees to receive medical care.

• Maintain medical equipment and ensure it is clean, sanitized, and ready for use.

• Attend mandatory continuing education and refresher training as required by licensing, certification, or medical direction.

• Replenish first aid kits and properly dispose of sharps containers.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Supervisory Scope
This position does not include supervisory or managerial responsibilities. EMTs are responsible for safeguarding PRC assets and upholding safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Communication:

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions in safety manuals, operating procedures, and other documentation.

• Capable of writing clear reports and effectively communicating with groups of team members or guests.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret charts and graphs.

Problem-Solving:

• Able to apply logical thinking to solve complex issues.

• Comfortable working with abstract and concrete data in challenging situations.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Eligible for and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.

• Current National Registry EMT card or California EMT certification.

• Valid CPR certification (Health Care Provider level).

• California driver’s license.

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.

• Experience with medical reporting software (e.g., Alliance System) is a plus.

• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.

• Knowledge of body substance isolation and medical-legal principles.

• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor when interacting with the public.

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, culturally diverse casino environment.
