Position: Patient Transporter
Location: RAYUS Radiology
Schedule: Temporary/PRN, Monday–Friday (hours may vary)
Pay Range: $18.00–$23.48/hour (based on experience)

Role Overview:
As a Patient Transporter, you will assist technologists by safely moving patients between medical floors, the ER, and imaging rooms. Your support ensures smooth workflows, timely procedures, and a high-quality patient experience.

Primary Responsibilities (90%): Technologist Support & Patient Transport

  • Welcome and safely transport patients to and from exam areas with a focus on care and comfort.

  • Prepare the next patient for imaging to help technologists stay on schedule, even while multitasking.

  • Assist patients onto and off exam tables as requested.

  • Organize patient jackets and ensure films are properly prepared, digitized, and filed.

  • Set up and clean imaging rooms between patients, including coils and table coverings.

  • Maintain supply closets, control rooms, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.

  • Support technologists with film processing, record keeping, and clerical tasks.

  • Communicate with technologists, medical records, and front office staff regarding workflow or additional tasks.

Secondary Responsibilities (10%)

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to safely transport patients and assist with minor patient support tasks.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow infection control and equipment sanitization protocols.

  • Flexibility to work variable PRN hours.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
