Overview

The EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) provides patient care and ambulance operation across pre-hospital settings, the Emergency Department, and other hospital units. This role involves assisting in the safe transport, assessment, and care of patients while supporting hospital staff to ensure smooth, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain hospital ambulances safely and efficiently.

• Assist with patient care in the field, Emergency Department, and hospital units as directed.

• Support clinical staff during emergencies and routine patient transfers.

• Maintain proper documentation and adherence to medical protocols.

• Ensure all ambulance equipment and supplies are properly stocked and functional.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Current EMT-I certification

• Valid California driver’s license

• California ambulance license

• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred
