Job Description GiaCare is seeking a full‑time Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic to provide medical support for military training at Joint Base San Antonio–Camp Bullis. The role involves delivering advanced life support during physical training, field exercises, and other high‑risk activities. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating injuries, stabilizing patients, and collaborating with medical and performance teams to safeguard the health of military trainees.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited NREMT paramedic program
  • At least one year of recent EMT/Paramedic experience (within the past two years)
  • Current National Registry Paramedic or Texas paramedic license
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care certification
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain during onboarding)
  • ACLS and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain during onboarding)
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and navigate uneven terrain
  • Physical capability to perform emergency response and patient movement tasks

Key Duties

  • Deliver paramedic services across training areas
  • Assess and treat injuries and illnesses in accordance with USAF/Army protocols
  • Provide advanced life support for trauma, heat/cold injuries, and other emergencies
  • Conduct triage in coordination with tactical coaches
  • Support training events with onsite medical coverage
  • Administer oxygen, IV therapy, dressings, and other emergency interventions
  • Document injuries, treatments, transports, and medical releases
  • Assist with medical screenings and student clearance
  • Educate trainees on injury prevention and environmental illness awareness
  • Teach Tactical Combat Casualty Care curriculum per DoD guidelines
  • Maintain and restock medical vehicles, equipment, and supplies

Schedule

  • Full‑time, up to 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday (hours may vary with training schedules)
  • No on‑call or overtime requirements

Compensation & Benefits
