Job Description

Flight Paramedic – Starting at $20.92+ (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a skilled Flight Paramedic to join a specialized air medical transport team. In this role, you will collaborate with aviation and healthcare professionals to provide safe, efficient transport of patients between medical facilities and from emergency scenes. Delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining strict safety standards is central to this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete and submit electronic patient care reports for each flight within required timeframes

  • Perform daily base readiness checks, including controlled substance inventory

  • Deliver advanced life support (ALS) care from initial patient contact through transfer to the receiving facility

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation throughout transport

  • Participate in ongoing training and clinical skill development to maintain proficiency

  • Keep all certifications, licenses, and continuing education records current

  • Operate and maintain medical equipment used in air medical services

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with team members, EMS agencies, hospitals, and the public

  • Actively participate as a member of the flight crew during missions

  • Attend pre-flight briefings and post-mission debriefings, completing all required documentation

  • Assist with pre-flight safety checks and support the pilot when needed (e.g., communication, navigation awareness, visual observation)

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols prior to and during flight operations

  • Provide safety briefings related to aircraft operations when required

  • Assist with covering open shifts within the assigned region as needed


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a 911 response or critical care environment

  • Previous flight experience preferred

Education & Certifications:

  • Current EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P) certification in applicable states

  • Required certifications prior to flight status:

    • BLS

    • ACLS

    • PALS

    • NRP

    • Trauma certification

  • FP-C (Flight Paramedic Certification) preferred and required within 24 months of hire

  • Instructor-level certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS) are a plus

  • NREMT-P certification may be required depending on the region
