Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Concentra is seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join its onsite occupational health clinic in Aurora, Colorado. This position supports employee health services at an industrial client location while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 PM β 1:30 AM
Pay: $25.00 β $32.89 per hour
Position Overview
As an EMT, you will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers to perform clinical procedures, assist with occupational health services, support workplace injury care, and help maintain efficient clinic operations. The role combines direct patient care with administrative responsibilities to ensure a positive healthcare experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during treatments
- Deliver first aid and emergency care for workplace injuries and illnesses
- Conduct DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol screenings
- Perform clinical testing, including phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, respirator fit testing, and rapid diagnostic testing
- Administer vaccines, medications, oxygen therapy, splints, and other treatments as directed by the supervising clinician
- Assist with injury evaluations, triage, and emergency response when needed
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records while following HIPAA guidelines
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms
- Monitor inventory levels and restock clinical supplies
- Support front office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, check-in/check-out, and telephone communications
- Participate in staff meetings, required training, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to meet all state licensing and credentialing requirements
- Drug and alcohol testing certifications, including specimen collection, preferred or obtainable
- At least one year of EMT or related clinical experience
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Ability to protect confidential patient information and maintain professional standards
