Position Overview

Fab’s Family Medical Transport is looking for a reliable and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to support its expanding operations. This role focuses on delivering safe patient transportation, providing basic medical care during transit, and ensuring a positive experience for every patient while following all applicable regulations and company standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate ambulances and transport vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and company procedures

  • Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) care throughout patient transport

  • Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles while maintaining safety and comfort

  • Observe patient conditions and promptly communicate any changes to appropriate personnel

  • Accurately complete required documentation, including transport records and patient care reports

  • Ensure vehicles and medical equipment are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times

  • Maintain clear communication with dispatch, healthcare providers, and team members

  • Follow all company policies, including safety protocols and driving guidelines

  • Provide respectful, professional care to all patients at every stage of transport

Required Qualifications

  • Active EMT-B certification (state required)

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical ability to assist with lifting and moving patients (minimum 125 lbs with assistance)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in ambulance services or non-emergency medical transport (NEMT)

  • Knowledge of stretcher use and patient handling procedures

  • Familiarity with local service areas

  • EVOC certification is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and prolonged sitting

  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Exposure to different weather conditions during transport duties
