Job Description
Part-Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Work Schedule
Shifts are available seven days a week:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview
This part-time EMT role involves staffing an ambulance and delivering pre-hospital medical care for 911 emergency responses. The EMT must be comfortable operating in challenging weather conditions, remain composed under pressure, and make accurate clinical decisions in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Basic Life Support care in accordance with approved protocols

  • Provide patient care within the scope defined by Delaware or Maryland State BLS guidelines

  • Complete all required electronic or written patient care and incident reports before shift completion

  • Perform routine inspections and restocking of ambulance vehicles and medical equipment

  • Maintain professional and effective interactions with patients, coworkers, and partner agencies

  • Participate in standby and special event coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Successful completion of a background check following a conditional offer

  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening

  • Current National Registry EMT certification

  • Active EMT certification in Delaware or Maryland

  • Valid Emergency Vehicle Operator certification

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Willingness to work special events and standby assignments

Preferred Certifications

  • Albuterol administration

  • Naloxone (Narcan) administration

  • CPAP usage

  • Epinephrine auto-injector administration
