Position: EMT Field Supervisor
Organization: Life Ride EMS
Location: Essex County, NJ
Schedule: Full-time; alternating AM and PM shifts available

Overview:
Life Ride EMS is looking for a committed and experienced EMT Field Supervisor to oversee emergency medical operations in Essex County. This leadership role involves coordinating emergency response efforts, supervising EMT crews, and assisting the Tour Chief with daily operational management to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Emergency Response: Promptly respond to medical emergencies across Essex County, providing professional care and patient support.

• Team Supervision: Directly oversee EMT staff during shifts, ensuring compliance with operational standards, protocols, and safety requirements.

• Operational Support: Aid the Tour Chief in managing daily operations, including staffing, equipment readiness, and adherence to protocols.

• Performance Monitoring: Evaluate EMT performance, provide constructive feedback, and assist in resolving on-shift challenges.

• Training & Compliance: Maintain EMT certifications and training requirements. Support continuous education initiatives and ensure all team members follow medical and operational guidelines.

• Documentation: Keep accurate records of incidents, crew activity, and equipment usage. Assist with reports and required administrative documentation.

• Equipment Oversight: Verify all emergency medical equipment is operational, properly maintained, and ready for use. Report and manage any deficiencies.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Tour Chief and EMS staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Valid NJ EMT Certification

• New Jersey Driver’s License

• CPR Certification

• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 (preferred ICS 300, 400)

• Defensive Driving / CEVO / EVOC Certification preferred

Experience & Skills:

• Prior EMT experience with supervisory duties preferred

• Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and manage high-stress situations

• Familiarity with 911 EMS operations and protocols
