Job Overview

The Clinical Support Tech 1 provides essential patient care and clinical support under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional. Working as part of the patient care team, this position assists with basic clinical tasks while helping ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

The role may also support patient check-in and registration activities using paper or digital systems, including point-of-service transactions when needed.

Estimated Pay: $18.15–$23.60 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical patient care under the supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner.
  • Work closely with assigned clinical staff to support safe and effective patient care.
  • Assist with patient check-in using manual, paper, or digital systems.
  • Provide support with registration-related transactions when required.
  • Assist with point-of-service collections as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Follow applicable clinical, safety, and patient-care procedures.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and clinic operations as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates may qualify through one of the following credentials:

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant

Additional requirements include:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma, GED, certificate, training, or equivalent qualifying education/experience.
  • No prior professional experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
