Health & Safety Medical Technician (EMT / Paramedic) β Part-Time
Amphibious Medics is seeking experienced EMTs and Paramedics to join our team as Health & Safety Medical Technicians (HSMTs). This position offers the opportunity to use your emergency medical skills in an occupational health environment, supporting worker safety on active job sites instead of traditional ambulance or hospital settings.
As an HSMT, you’ll provide immediate medical care, promote workplace safety, and collaborate with project teams to help maintain healthy, productive worksites across a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using appropriate first aid and emergency care practices.
- Determine when patients require referral to outside healthcare providers or emergency transport.
- Respond quickly and effectively to on-site medical emergencies while maintaining a calm, professional approach.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and update electronic medical records.
- Participate in wellness initiatives, health screenings, and workplace safety campaigns.
- Conduct routine site observations to identify potential health and safety concerns.
- Deliver safety education and assist with first aid, CPR, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Coordinate care with project management and outside medical providers to support employee recovery and return-to-work efforts.
- Spend the majority of the workday actively engaging with employees throughout the job site.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of full-time 911 EMS experience.
- Current National Registry or state EMT-B or Paramedic certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable walking large job sites, including climbing stairs while carrying medical equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing medical support on construction or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA workplace safety regulations.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED instructor certification.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
