Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Public Safety Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide immediate medical assistance while also supporting public safety operations. This position combines emergency patient care with security-related responsibilities, ensuring a safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will maintain emergency readiness, deliver compassionate care, and contribute to daily public safety activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to on-site medical emergencies and provide care within the EMT scope of practice
  • Conduct patient evaluations and deliver appropriate Basic Life Support (BLS) treatment
  • Request Advanced Life Support (ALS) resources when patient conditions require higher levels of care
  • Coordinate patient handoff and communicate effectively with responding ALS personnel
  • Complete detailed patient care reports and maintain accurate electronic documentation
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain emergency medical equipment to ensure operational readiness
  • Participate in continuing education and required skills training to maintain clinical competency
  • Collect and process drug screening specimens in accordance with organizational procedures
  • Perform assigned public safety duties, including guest assistance, property recovery, escorts, and incident response
  • Promote a professional, respectful, and team-oriented environment while providing exceptional customer service
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current California Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Successful completion of an EMT patient assessment skills evaluation
  • Previous EMT experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay: $19.60 – $22.53, based on qualifications and experience.
