Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate patient care during dialysis and interfacility transports.
  • Monitor patients throughout transportation and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
  • Assist patients with comfort, safety, and medical needs during transfers.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, paramedics, receiving facilities, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Operate, maintain, and properly handle ambulance medical equipment.
  • Follow established EMS procedures, medical protocols, and safety standards.
  • Complete required patient-care documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful approach with patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Current and valid EMT certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a healthcare and EMS team.
  • Dependable, professional, and compassionate attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in demanding situations.
  • No previous EMS experience required.
