Are you a certified First Aid responder seeking flexible, purposeful work outdoors?

RFDS Victoria is looking for motivated First Aid Responders to cover community events across regional Victoria β€” from festivals and sports fixtures to local gatherings. Help deliver timely care, support community safety and enjoy varied shifts in fresh-air settings.

What you’ll do

– Provide high-quality first aid at public events.
– Communicate clearly with patients, event staff and emergency services.
– Recognise when to escalate care and coordinate handover to higher-level clinicians.
– Keep equipment serviceable and follow health & safety procedures.
– Attend mandatory induction and participate in ongoing training.

Mandatory qualifications

– Responder Level 1
– One of the following: HLTAID009 (CPR), HLTAID010 (Basic Emergency Life Support) or HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid)
– 22300VIC (Anaphylaxis) or approved equivalent

Additional requirements

– Full Victorian driver’s licence
– Availability for a 2-day induction
– Evidence of vaccinations and serology:
– 3 Hepatitis B doses + positive serology
– 2 MMR doses
– 2 Varicella doses or positive serology
– 2025 Influenza vaccine
– DTP within the last 10 years
– Valid Employee Working with Children Check
– Right to work in Australia
