Position Overview
Charleston ENT & Allergy is currently hiring a full-time Allergy Lab Technician to support our expanding allergy services across our Charleston-area offices. This role is ideal for a certified EMT, CMA, or LPN who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys combining technical precision with hands-on patient care.
The Allergy Lab Technician will conduct allergy testing, administer immunotherapy injections, prepare and mix serum vials, and assist providers with various clinical responsibilities. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to shift seamlessly between lab tasks and direct patient interaction are essential.

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $20.00 – $23.00, based on experience

Travel Requirements
This position requires flexibility to rotate between Charleston-area clinic locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Laboratory Duties
-
Perform allergy testing and administer allergy immunotherapy injections

Prepare and compound allergy serum vials with precision
-
Record vital signs and support patient assessments

Conduct tympanometry testing for evaluation of middle ear function

Assist physicians during examinations and in-office procedures

Triage patient concerns and coordinate follow-up care
-
Manage hospital consult requests on behalf of providers
Administrative & Support Functions

Open and close clinic as assigned

Call in prescriptions per provider direction

Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for procedures

Scan and maintain accurate patient documentation in medical records

Provide cross-coverage support for both front and back office operations

Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families

Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Active certification as an EMT, CMA, or LPN

Strong attention to detail, especially when handling serum preparation

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask in a dynamic clinical setting
