Job Description

ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join its Critical Care Transport (CCT) team. In this role, the EMT provides hands-on emergency medical care and patient assessment while supporting the safe transport of critically ill and injured individuals. You will work collaboratively alongside a paramedic and a registered nurse, delivering high-quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.

This position is ideal for an experienced EMT who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to perform effectively in high-acuity transport environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of a Delaware-approved EMT-Basic program

  • Successful completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC)

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as an EMT


Schedule & Work Hours

  • Full-time position (80 hours per pay period)

  • Rotating shifts including day, evening, and overnight hours

  • Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts


Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $19.84 – $29.76

Compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, and job-related skills. This range reflects the organization’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting.
