Job Title: EMT-Paramedic (Medic)

Summary

We are seeking a professional EMT-Paramedic (Medic) to provide safe and efficient transportation and care for sick and injured patients. The Medic must operate in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Ongoing professional development, recertification, and continuing education are required to maintain competency and adherence to standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients, colleagues, and partner agencies

  • Follow company vehicle and driving policies, ensuring safe and responsible operation at all times

  • Adhere to dress code and personal grooming standards

  • Practice proper lifting, moving, and patient-handling techniques; maintain physical and mental readiness for duties

  • Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, and organizational hierarchy

  • Accurately complete patient care documentation using company-approved forms, hardware, and software

  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of assigned vehicles and medical equipment; report any issues immediately

  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of both vehicle interior and exterior in coordination with team members

  • Utilize company communication systems effectively, following established protocols

  • Navigate response areas efficiently using maps, GPS, and knowledge of local facilities and hospitals

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

  • Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or operational concerns

  • Arrive on time and prepared to start shifts as scheduled

  • Be available for overtime and flexible scheduling as needed


Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Current state EMT-P/EMSVO certification

  • Current EVOC and CPR certification (AHA preferred)

  • Current PALS/ACLS certification

  • Critical Care Technician (CCT) certification

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Knowledge of safe lifting and patient-handling practices

  • Successful completion of company probationary program

  • Commitment to ongoing education and any additional certifications required by ALS Coordinator or Medical Director
