Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Nursing Director and working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician provides comprehensive support to patients by assisting with both physical and emotional care needs. This role focuses on delivering essential nursing support to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their emergency department experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in an Emergency Department setting is preferred but not required.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Basic computer literacy is necessary to document patient care and manage information.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification or EMT-B / EMT-P certification

Relevant patient care experience
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
