Medical Assistant – Dental Surgical Practice
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Employment Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional adjustments based on surgical cases
Reports To: Registered Nurses, Surgeons, and Anesthesia Providers

We are a reputable dental implant surgical facility committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and professional setting. Our center focuses on advanced implant procedures supported by a skilled surgical, nursing, and anesthesia team.
We are currently looking for a reliable and driven Medical Assistant to provide hands-on support to our clinical staff and help ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient.
Position Overview
The Medical Assistant is an essential member of the surgical care team, assisting with patient preparation, clinical assessments, and procedural support before, during, and after surgery. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive, organized, and able to remain composed while working in a dynamic surgical environment.
Core Duties

Support nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers throughout all phases of patient care

Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures

Perform 3D imaging and panoramic scans as required for treatment planning

Assist with anesthesia setup, induction, and patient recovery under direction

Observe and document vital signs, identifying changes in patient condition

Help with blood draws, oxygen monitoring, and other delegated clinical tasks

Coordinate closely with front-desk staff, dental assistants, laboratories, and leadership to maintain smooth workflows

Work alongside surgical and dental assistants during procedures, with willingness to learn additional assisting responsibilities

Track and replenish clinical supplies as needed

Follow all safety protocols, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent credential (required)

Current BLS and/or ACLS certification (required)

EMT certification (highly preferred)

Previous experience in dental or oral surgery settings, or strong interest in learning

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
