Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare patients for provider visits by documenting chief complaints, collecting vital signs, reviewing medical history, allergies, and medications.

Perform medication reconciliation and address preventive care gaps such as screenings and risk assessments.

Repeat elevated blood pressure readings when necessary and complete preventive visit documentation in Epic.

Assist with in-office procedures including blood draws, EKGs, point-of-care testing, oxygen studies, and mental status evaluations.

Administer immunizations and injections within scope of practice.

Coordinate follow-up appointments according to clinic protocols.

Partner with providers and care teams to implement and monitor individualized care plans.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant (Non-Certified):

High school diploma or GED required
-
BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Six months of healthcare experience preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA):

High school diploma or GED
-
Active MA certification required
-
BLS certification within 90 days
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
