Compensation: $18.54/hour upon EMT licensure
Class Schedule: Begins April 6, 2026 – Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What a Typical Trainee Day Looks Like
Trainees will spend the first 10 weeks in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment, combining classroom instruction with real-world ride-alongs to build confidence and practical EMT skills.
The final two weeks focus on certification preparation and testing, ensuring you are ready for licensure. Once certified, trainees transition to full-time EMT roles, partnering with experienced field EMTs to continue learning and providing patient care in the community.
Program Requirements

Minimum age: 19 years

High school diploma, GED, homeschool equivalent, or dual-enrolled high school senior

Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least three years of driving experience

Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background checks

Proof of required vaccinations

Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations, show empathy, and complete the full training and licensing process
