Position Overview:
We are seeking a Safety/EMT Supervisor to lead and manage the Safety and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will coordinate daily EMS operations, ensure adherence to safety protocols, respond to medical emergencies, and supervise a team of EMTs. You will also be responsible for maintaining First Aid facilities and equipment, performing inspections, and ensuring that emergency response procedures are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the Safety/EMS team to ensure prompt and effective response to all emergencies.

Provide training, guidance, and support to EMT staff, ensuring readiness for all emergency scenarios.

Respond to medical incidents, delivering care and coordinating patient transport when necessary.

Maintain, inspect, and ensure readiness of all EMS equipment and First Aid facilities.

Review, complete, and maintain accurate documentation, including First Aid reports, Health Service Reports, and NEMSIS records.

Conduct regular safety inspections throughout the park, including ride audits and equipment checks.

Assist with EMT staff training and certification, monitoring performance and compliance with park safety standards.

Investigate accidents and conduct root cause analyses for incidents.

Administer and oversee internal random drug screenings.

Act as the point of communication between management and Safety/EMS personnel regarding emergency procedures and protocols.

Address guest and employee concerns promptly and professionally.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by Six Flags management.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum age: 21 years
-
Valid driver’s license and park driving permit

High School diploma or equivalent
-
Active National Registry EMT-B certification
-
Prior experience as an EMT required; supervisory experience preferred

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and support a team

Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions

Proficient in interpreting written and verbal instructions, forms, and diagnostic data

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to document medical incidents accurately

Preferred: Experience with Origami Risk software
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to lift, carry, and operate medical equipment exceeding 75 pounds

Capable of walking, running, bending, stooping, and crawling on uneven terrain

Able to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, moisture, and dry conditions
-
Capacity to perform all EMS and occupational tasks required for emergency response
